RUDY REGALADO
Venezuela is the birthplace of Hector "Rudy" Regalado, founder and leader of the Los Angeles based Latin Jazz band known as "Chevere". This talented ensemble is comprised of a list of musicians that reads like the crême de la crême of the Los Angeles music scene. Chevere's colloquail adjective of Cuban origin truly describes Rudy and this exciting, high energy group of musicians. Rudy's musical developement began in the surrounding rhythmic wealth of his childhood, while peddling his mother's home cooked arepas and other Venezuelan delicacies in the music filled streets of his hometown of Caracas. He grew up to become an internationally renowned percussionist who mastered the streets of timbales (drums), as applied to Latin Jazz and Salsa music.

Also, Ruben Blades, Oscar D' Leon, Chick Correa and too many other musical legends to name.

Rudy has had the opportunity to tour all over the world. As a band leader, Rudy's worldwide travels have taken him to Hawaaii, Canada, Thailand, Indonesia, Kuala Lunpur, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Puerto Rico and thoughout Europe. In Japan, none other than Tito Puente, the worlds most prominent timbalero (drummer) acclaimed Rudy's timbale (drum) skills. Rudy and Chevere also opened Merv Griffin's popular nightclub, The Coconut Club, that was located in Beverly Hills and had a history of bringing in many of Hollywood's top celebrities and artists. Which has lead him to top appearances on many tv shows and Hollywood's big screen. Stay tuned for Rudy and Chevere's performance on a hit movie coming soon to a theatre near you...

Billions of viewers witnessed Rudy's masterful timbal (drum) solo, as he was featured in the World Cup Soccer closing ceremony, held at the Rose Bowl, alongside Kenny G and Whitney Houston.
