singer on India’s
Grammy nominated
albums, Sobre
El Fuego and
Sola. He then
began working
with Maestro
Infante and
has also lent
his vocal style
to studio projects
for Celia Cruz,
Tito Puente
and Eddie Palmieri.
He has performed
live with Marc
Anthony and
India, as well
as on European
and Carribean
tours with Maestro
Infante. Venues
where Kevin
has performed
include everywhere
from the world
famous nightclubs
of New York
and Miami, to
Central and
South America,
Europe, and
of course, Carnegie
Hall and Madison
Square Garden.
Kevin’s
solo debut album,
Mi Primer Amor
, was released
for RMM Records
in 2000 and
immediately
made its mark
on the Latin
music scene.
The single,
Mi Primer Amor,
rocketed to
the top of the
Tropical Chart
of Radio and
Musica, where
it remained
for an astonishing
seven weeks.
On Dec., 23,
2000, it was
Billboards Greatest
Gainer of the
week and Latin
Top 50, where
it reached #
16. In a culmination
of the past
year’s
accomplishments,
on Feb., 08,
2001, Kevin
Ceballo was
awarded the
Revelacion del
Ano (Best New
Artist) at the
2001 Univision
Premio lo Nuestro
in Miami. Kevin
recorded the
mega hit Mi
Primer Amor
in English,
My First Love,
where it reigned
#1 on WKTU’s
103.5 (New York)
top ten list
for several
weeks in 2002.
In 2003, Kevin
starred on Broadway
in The Look
of Love. He
was part of
an ensemble
cast interpreting
the music of
the legendary
Burt Bacharach.
In May 2003,
Kevin released
his long awaited
second offering,
now with Universal
Records, Yo
Soy Ese Hombre.
The album, needless
to say, is a
huge hit. Not
only has it
reached the
top of the Latin
Charts in radio
play, sales
and club play,
it has signaled
to the world
that Kevin Ceballo
is a not only
an accomplished
musician, songwriter
and singer…..but
a star. Kevin’s
hit single Amame
O Dejame, has
reached #1 in
several markets
such as Miami,
Philadelphia,
D.C., Puerto
Rico, and of
course, New
York. Kevin’s
fan base is
incredible and
includes an
online fan club.
