Alvarez is known
in the artistic
atmosphere as
Andy Boy. In
his short music
career he has
acquired a distinct
reputation in
the Reggaeton
genre. His first
steps in the
reggaeton genre
were madeunder
the tutelage
of DJ Negro.
With DJ Negro,
he participated
in the productions
'The Noise -
La Biografia'
and 'The Noise
Live' where
he succeeded
with 'Dem Bow',
song produced
by DJ Rafi Mercenario.
Following
that, he became
part of a new
group that he
named 'El Corillo
Del Marroneo'.
The combination
of Mercenario
and Andy Boy
led to the production
of many great
hits.
It
wasn't until
the production
of DJ Nelson's
'Flow La Discoteka'
with the song:
' Mami Tu Quieres'
where Andy Boy's
notoriety sky
rocketed in
Puerto Rico
because of the
success of the
song. Other
producers became
very interested
in working with
Andy. With the
rise of his
popularity he
then was given
the opportunity
to participate
in productions
with 'Da Music',
'Bando Korrupto
2.5', 'Los Cazadores',
'Sueños
de Grandeza',
'Rebeldia',
'Los Kambumbos',
'Los Bandoleros
de Don Don Omar',
'El Jangeo'
and others.
At the beginning
of 2005 he signed
with 'Flow Music',
commanded by
DJ Nelson. Andy
Boy is currently
involved with
Flow Music's
productions
including Andy
Boy's first
production,
as a soloist
titled, 'ANTESALA'
